Clients generally find me to be kind, gentle, thoughtful, and non-judgmental. I also have a sense of humor, and believe in the healing power of laughter. I take an active role in the counseling process, asking questions and giving feedback about what I see and hear. I will offer my professional opinion. However I won't take it personally if you choose not to take my advice. I respect my clients' personal values, religious beliefs, and personality styles, and have worked with people from all walks of life. My clinical approach is "eclectic" (which means "a blend of different schools of thought"). The average length of treatment for my clients is between three and six months, though I do work longer with some people.
